About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

The product team owns Rippling’s product direction, defining what to build in order to solve customer problems in a way that allows them to succeed and for our business to thrive. We do this by distilling insights from user research, product-generated data, competitive analysis, and a deep market understanding. These insights allow us to prioritize the features we work on, which we define end to end with our design and engineering counterparts, to create our roadmap. As the features on this roadmap get developed, we partner with various teams to ensure they are ready to sell, service, and support them. We iterate on these features using data and customer feedback to make sure that they fulfill and surpass the goals we had when we decided to build them.

In this role as the Product Lead for Contractors and Compliance, you will be responsible for developing and executing the end-to-end roadmap for contractor management, invoicing, and compliance products across the platform. You'll balance market expansion initiatives with usability improvements and innovative features while ensuring seamless experiences regardless of contractor type, client location, or preferred payment method. Working cross-functionally with design, engineering, legal, business development, and customer-facing teams, you'll not only build and launch new contractor products but also drive the Compliance platform that provides localized guardrails throughout the product and the Compliance 360 app that centralizes issue management. Your success will be measured by your ability to create and service comprehensive contractor solutions while enabling companies to confidently hire and employ individuals across 100+ countries with full awareness of local compliance requirements.

What you'll do

  • Own the overall strategy and execution for our Contractor hub and compliance products
  • Scale Contractor invoicing product to ensure that it serves the broad use cases of our current and future clients, especially those with large contractor and freelancer workforces
  • Drive the discovery and eventual build of larger bets that we need to make in the contractor space, including invoicing for non-Rippling clients and contractor misclassification detection
  • Revamp the Compliance 360 experience to account for reporting requirement timelines, company-level infractions, and helpful tips for admins not familiar with the nuances in the dozens of jurisdictions where they have employees
  • Make the needed investments in the Compliance platform to ensure that it can support quick evaluation in hundreds to thousands of individuals dynamically in different product experiences throughout Rippling
  • Increase contractor to EOR cross sell opportunities through increase of the contractor base on Rippling
  • Ensure that the speed and simplicity that Rippling prides itself on is consistently met, even when adding support for additional complex use cases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, operations, legal, and compliance, to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and customer support, to gather feedback and ensure that the product meets their needs.
