About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.2B from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

Rippling’s Spend suite of products helps companies manage and control their spending efficiently, covering expenses, corporate cards, travel, bill payments, and more. This suite is essential for meeting the needs of a wide range of customers looking for an integrated spend management solution. Success in this role is key to achieving our growth goals and becoming a leader in the financial services market.

As the Product Lead for Rippling Spend, you will be responsible for setting the vision and guiding the execution of the Spend roadmap as it grows 10X in ARR. This role will be responsible for managing a small team of product managers and will also be expected to go deep on business strategy for the suite. You will be expected to work closely with sales, marketing, risk, and finance to develop the right strategy for the suite that will allow us to win in the competitive market of spend products and take on general management responsibilities.

What you will do

  • Oversee the product function for the Rippling Spend suite and manage a group of 3-5 product managers
  • Develop and launch new features that fit seamlessly into the Spend suite and the broader Rippling ecosystem.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to define important features for our Spend suite.
  • Use machine learning and AI to build predictive analytics and automation into our spend management products.
  • Focus on creating an intuitive, easy-to-use product experience.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, risk, sales, and finance to ensure customer and sales success.
  • Guide business strategy and growth, making data-driven decisions to improve product performance and meet business goals.
  • Stay aware of market trends and customer feedback, ensuring our Spend suite remains competitive and innovative.

What you will need:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience
  • Self-starter with a bias towards action
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Have owned both 0-to-1 product launches and products at scale
  • Helicopter pilot mentality - you can easily switch from high level strategy and planning to UI polish and data model details
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and comfortable working in a highly cross-functional role
  • Fintech and/or previous founder experience a plus
  • Strong alignment with our leadership principles: in particular Go and See, and Are Right, a Lot

If you don’t necessarily meet all of the requirements listed here, we still encourage you to apply because skills can be used in lots of different ways, your life experience is equally important sometimes.
