About the role

You will drive the development and execution of multiple product features for the Employee Experience team, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Employee Experience is a new product engineering team built fully out of Rippling’s NYC office. It manages multiple products at Rippling with millions of dollars of annual recurring revenue (ARR).

For this role, we are looking for someone to be the Tech Lead to build out the “Surveys'' product (think: Employee Engagement surveys). This is an existing product with growing revenue, and we want to take it to the next level. Ideally you have a passion for owning product thinking, technical architecture, and also are interested in the space of talent development.

You will collaborate closely with product management and design teams to execute the roadmap, prioritize development, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions, and driving the continuous improvement of our engineering practices.

What you will do
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and the business to create user-friendly frontend features.

  • Design, implement, and improve our technical architecture within the Surveys product.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, PMs, and fellow engineers to plan features to help bring a high quality product to market

  • Interact with customers and support them in being successful with the new product

  • Work closely with other engineers on the team to develop scalable, fault-tolerant systems

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer

  • 4+ years acting as a tech lead or manager - driving estimates, architecture, and mentoring junior engineers

  • You have seen systems operating at a significant technical and organizational scale

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Expertise in building distributed services with Python, Golang, or Java

  • Experience with Frontend technologies, React and typescript experience required

  • Comfortable at developing scalable and extendable core services used in many products
