About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as our Corporate Accounting Leader. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role will be responsible for managing many of the day-to-day general ledger and financial reporting needs of Rippling.. You will partner with many of our business operations teams, including Finance, Workplace and Product teams. 
The Accounting team is responsible for accurate financial reporting and compliance with financial policies and regulations. Our team is spread across the USA and India.
Our diverse team consists of over 20 professionals spread across the United States and India, with more international locations coming soon. Over the last couple years, our team has grown exponentially to support a complex, multi-product company that operates globally.  
What you will do
  • Lead an accounting team that is responsible for the operations of our business, including CapEx/Opex and related accounts. Manage the overall monthly close and financial reporting process, and develop solutions to support new transactions.
  • Implement new solutions and technologies to maximize close efficiencies and reduce our financial close and reporting cycle. 
  • Support financial statement preparation and regulatory compliance across all legal entities. 
  • Manage our chart of accounts and Netsuite set-up to support launches of new products and transactions. 
  • Develop and educate business partners on the accounting implications of our transactions. 
  • Establish documented controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and maintain a strong internal control environment
  • Support audit procedures with our external auditor
  • Develop and implement accounting policies to 
  • Develop and mentor accounting staff to build their professional career and maximize potential
What you will need
  • Certified Public Accountant or Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • A minimum of 8 years progressively responsible accounting and finance experience and a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position managing teams of people with diverse skill sets
  • Proven experience in Financial Reporting and SEC rules and regulations 
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partner
  • Experience managing teams and meeting goals/commitments. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  •  Knowledge of  ERP systems Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department, successfully juggling multiple entities, projects and deliverables
  • Strong managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills
