About The Role

As a Staff Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in Rippling's next billion-dollar vertical. Collaborating directly with our top engineers, you'll be instrumental in building something truly groundbreaking. This is a high-impact role that offers great visibility within the company and the opportunity to directly contribute to Rippling's growth.

At Rippling, being an engineer means so much more than just writing and reviewing code. You'll have the chance to become an expert in your product area, engaging with users, shaping our product roadmap, and working on go-to-market strategies. As an early member of our new team, you'll also play a significant role in shaping the team's culture and organization as we scale.

Joining this team means tackling some fascinating problems. You'll have the chance to implement an S-expression based calculator used for millions of calculations per second, abstract complex networks to build a powerful API framework capable of moving billions of dollars, and contribute to both engineering systems and complex business initiatives.

What You'll Do

Develop high-quality software with meticulous attention to detail
Ship incremental updates at a high velocity, ensuring rapid progress
Collaborate with sales teams to prioritize revenue-driving initiatives
Engage with customers, supporting their success with Rippling

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in a production environment (Python, Django, React, MongoDB, AWS)
Strong focus on product ownership and problem-solving for customers
Passionate about working in a product-focused environment where customer impact is paramount
