About the Role:

The Global Network (GNET) team is looking for a full-stack SDE 2 to join Remitly and help scale our funding and disbursement processing across our vast operational regions, alongside collaborating with other engineers towards setting a north star technical vision. As a software developer, you will bring exciting features to our customers by contributing to the expansion of our pay-in and pay-out networks globally. You will help build against a backlog of features designed to expand our Global Network powering all of Remitly's product offerings in creative ways. This is a hybrid role from Seattle, WA and reports to Engineering Manager for the GNET team.

You Will:

• Collaborate across timezones with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
• Design and implement responsive user interfaces that enhance usability and deliver a seamless user experience for internal and external Remitly Customers.
• Implement solutions for ambiguous problems using multiple full stack technologies (TypeScript, React, Java, Go)
• Participate in code reviews, sprint rituals, hiring, and provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications
• Report to the Engineering Manager of the Global Network Operations team.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the team's services.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on either frontend development for web/native applications or backend service development deployed via AWS.
• Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Go.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $136,000 -$170,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
