As a Software Engineer for the Treasury Engineering team, you will design and implement full-stack, innovative solutions to meet the needs of the Treasury business. You will build resilient, scalable, and extensible systems and data flows that allow Treasury operations to manage, automate, and optimize foreign exchange trading, cash transfers, and disbursement of funds so we can fulfill our mission to transform lives through trusted financial services. This role is a hybrid based out of the Seattle, WA office. #LI-hybrid
You Will:
- Write effective and efficient code
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
- Create customer-facing features with a focus on adding customer value
- Implement solutions for problems using multiple full stack technologies (Kotlin, React, Java)
- Write technical specification and participate in design reviews
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support the team's services.
- Interview and help ramp new hires
You Have:
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of building consumer software products
- Comfortable building, shipping, and maintaining services and systems on AWS or other cloud-based infrastructure
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose languages like Java, JavaScript, Kotlin
- Knowledgeable in technical architecture and system design concepts
- Experience with large scale database systems like MySQL
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other orchestration tools
- Experience with monitoring systems such as Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, CloudWatch, NewRelic
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $136,000-$170,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
