We're looking for a Software QA Engineer II to join Remitly's Release Management team. You will implement manual mobile app regression testing and ensure each mobile release has a high level of quality for our customers. You will take the lead on critical QA activities for each release - building test cases, triage defects, monitor production, evolving test plans, and driving quality best practices. We want you to be a quality advocate who proactively partners with developers, PMs, and others to raise the bar.
Additionally, you will provide support as needed for development teams, bug bashes and other activities that will need QA expertise. As a SQA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our product quality for each release.
You Will:
- Execute thorough regression and feature testing for every release. This will involve running manual test cases, documenting results comprehensively, and surfacing any issues or problems.
- Triage defects found during testing with the Release Manager and owning development teams. This requires clear communication and driving follow-up with responsible teams/individuals to resolve bugs.
- Monitor application performance during rollout and post-release. This helps identify any issues arising in production in which teams need to take action.
- Provide QA expertise to development teams. This can include feature testing, bug bash events, regression testing, defect investigations, and more.
- Manage the test case repository. You will design test plans/cases for new features and update existing ones as needed.
- Conduct troubleshooting for complex issues that require deeper investigation.
You Have:
- 1-2+ years of android and iOS mobile testing
- Knowledge and expertise in Android and iOS operating systems
- Familiarity with mobile app testing and web testing, including guidelines and best practices
- Knowledge or passion to explore automation to augment the current test cases that are run for each release
- Proven analytical and data-driven approach
- Ability to troubleshoot vague issues and document findings in a understandable and concise way
Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $92,000-$115,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
