About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated, analytical, and strategic individual for the role of a Chief of Staff (Business Operations), who is also resourceful, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving key initiatives across the organization.

The role will report to the Chief Business Officer at Remitly and will serve as a trusted thought partner, playing a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and strategic alignment of the company’s business initiatives. This role is responsible for owning the rhythm of the business, managing special projects sponsored by the Chief Business Officer, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.

This role involves a blend of strategic, analytical, and project management responsibilities. It is an exciting growth opportunity and an excellent training ground to grow into a future leadership role, with an opportunity to gain cross-functional experience rotating through potential roles or special projects within business management, partnerships, strategy, marketing, analytics, or corporate development.

You Will Be:

  • Accountable for owning the rhythm of the business and agenda of the meetings led by the Chief Business Officer; and lead various aspects of it including providing insights and analysis to assist in strategic discussions and decision making, and tracking follow through.

  • Thought partner to the Chief Business Officer on key strategic initiatives; lead or support special projects, or initiatives, driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring successful outcomes.

  • Providing decision-making support through analysis and recommendations.

  • Lead and support the development and execution of business plans.

  • Maintain and monitor business health scorecard on key performance metrics to track progress towards goals.

  • Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Develop prioritization framework for strategic priorities, streamline cross-functional rituals to hold functional and business stakeholders accountable towards the outcomes.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for executive meetings, leadership offsites and board presentations.

You Have:

  • 10+ years in business operations, business or general management, management consulting, investment banking, or a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, analytics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Strong data and analytical skills; ability to interpret and use data to drive decision making, proficiency in SQL or similar tools is highly desirable.

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Strong executive presence and strategic maturity.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strategic thinker with robust business acumen and financial analysis capabilities.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

  • Adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in driving results.

Compensation Details.

The starting base salary range for this position is typically $208,000 - $260,000.

In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
