About the Role:

Remitly is hiring a detail-oriented and strategic Technical SEO Manager to join our team and lead our technical SEO initiatives. You will be reporting to the Director of Owned Channels. This role is based in our London office and will be hybrid (2-3 days a week in the office).

You are a well-rounded SEO with a strong technical background. You have experience with optimizing website performance and can leverage tools and data to improve search engine rankings. You are confident in demonstrating how technical SEO improvements drive business results and are able to communicate that to senior stakeholders. You will also have strong experience working for high growth ecommerce and/or tech companies.

You Will:

  • Set and execute the global technical SEO strategy across all owned digital properties.
  • Work directly with product and engineering teams to implement high impact SEO initiatives.
  • Create requirements for product and engineering teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated.
  • Conduct technical site audits, identify issues, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Optimize website architecture, internal linking, and page load speeds.
  • Utilize data pipeline and cloud technology to automate and help create data sets for analysis solutions or automated measurement frameworks.
  • Create standard KPIs and build reporting on your programs to highlight contributions to business performance.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, technologies, and best practices.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience working in an SEO agency or as an in-house SEO where you were responsible for technical SEO initiatives.
  • Experience managing technical SEO campaigns across multiple geographies and languages.
  • Proficiency in using tracking and measurement suites such as GA4, Amplitude, Google Search Console, and enterprise SEO tools.
  • Deep expertise in technical SEO and familiarity with content and digital PR is a big plus.
  • Working knowledge of technology stacks (servers, applications, middleware, edgeware, and front-end) and diverse web architectural patterns and frameworks, with an understanding of their impact on organic performance.
  • Experience creating requirements for product and engineering teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Confident data skills and experience using tools such as Botify, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Conductor, etc.
  • Ability to work with large datasets, including databases, and develop custom tools to uncover insights.
  • Athirst for knowledge and invest time staying on top of the latest SEO trends, technologies, and practices.
