About the Role:

The Customer Authentication Platform team’s (part of the larger Identity and Trust org) mission is to offer Remitly’s global customers a way to securely access Remitly’s varied products, features, or services through a consistent, modern, and a low friction experience thereby reinforcing Remitly’s mission to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders.

We are looking for a Software Engineer II with experience and familiarity building backend, distributed systems and frontend to help us lead aspects of this mission. Knowledge or interest in learning authentication and authorization systems and standards is a plus. You will report to the Sr. Engineering Manager of the Auth platform team.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and complex problems using full stack technologies ( React, NodeJS, Go, Java/Kotlin)
  • Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the user experience and usability of our Auth platform.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.

You Have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a team environment
  • Comfortable working across multiple languages, microservices, technologies and systems.
  • Experience working with Product Management and other partners such as Design.
  • Experience with CI/CD and advanced deployment strategies

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $112,000 -$140,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
