About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Global Tax Senior specialising in indirect tax and with knowledge of transfer pricing ("TP") to join our growing tax team. You will help manage our global indirect tax obligations, ensuring compliance with different international regulations, and supporting TP strategies across jurisdictions. In this global role, you'll collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities and external advisors. Your role will involve occasional travel to meet with international teammates, attend industry conferences, and participate in global projects. You will report to the Senior Tax Manager in London, and this role will be hybrid. #LI-Hybrid.

We are looking for an analytical and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global tax laws and business operations to take our dynamic Tax team to the next level!

You Will:

  • Manage global indirect tax compliance, including tax returns and related documentation for VAT, GST, and other sales taxes.
  • Help with tax planning, driving global tax efficiency and process improvements.
  • Partner with finance, legal, and business teammates to ensure accurate indirect tax reporting and compliance and to identify and mitigate tax risks associated with cross-border transactions and business expansions.
  • Monitor global indirect tax and TP regulations, capturing any impacts to Remitly.
  • Support TP policies, documentation (i.e. analyses, studies, master & local files, CbCr), and calculations in compliance with OECD and local regulations.
  • Manage and resolve tax audit inquiries by tax authorities related to indirect taxes and TP.

You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance.
  • A Master's degree and professional certification (e.g., CPA, CTA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • 3+ years of experience driving international indirect tax and a knowledge of TP processes at a multinational company or large accounting firm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including ability to create formulas
  • Tax technology proficiency (Alteryx, Netsuite, Jira, Confluence, and AI).
