About the Role:

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, Machine Learning, the Machine Learning Engineering Project Lead will meet with stakeholders to internalize their problem domain and uncover opportunities where machine learning solutions are appropriate. Telecommuting is available based on manager approval.

You Will:

• Lead the implementation of the entire machine learning life-cycle, from understanding requirements to deploying and maintaining the product in production and anything in between.

• Mentor other MLEs and Data Scientists to improve the expertise of the team through assisting with regular code reviews, reviewing design specifications, and creating tutorials and hosting office hours.

• Work with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and ML Platform engineers to design and instrument data pipelines needed to improve model outcomes such as improving predictive performance, model latency and uptime.

• Collaborate with leadership to set Machine Learning Program vision and strategy vision by authoring proposals and making system design decisions, and creating and evangelizing team processes that lead to healthy machine learning lifecycles.

You Have:

• Position requires a Computer Science, Information Systems, Advanced Infrastructure Systems, Machine Learning, or STEM related field, and 2 years of experience developing machine learning based solutions.

• 2 years of experience using machine learning tools to extract patterns;

• 2 years of experience collecting ground truth data;

• 2 years of experience integrating machine learning models with financial service products;

• 2 years of experience with model architecture;

• 2 years of experience with data systems;

• 2 years of experience working with machine learning or data science teams;

• 2 years of experience using Python and ML libraries including scikit-learn, scipy, numpy, matplotlib, pandas;

• 2 years of experience with SQL and Spark; and

• 2 years of experience with ensuring quality execution of Machine learning applications in business domains.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $180,000 - $225,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
