About the Role:

The Engineering Manager, Machine Learning will lead a team of software engineers in the development of machine learning models and technologies. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the US with manager's approval.

You Will:

• Direct the engineering team's work flow, development priorities, and execution timelines.

• Lead project strategies to ensure technology development meets the needs of the business.

• Develop machine learning infrastructure to connect upstream data to models.

• Deploy secure and robust software applications supporting digital platforms.

You Have:

• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with machine learning and data systems.

• 5 years of experience with developing technical details of design documents;

• 5 years of experience with engineering experimental and interactive workflows;

• 5 years of experience working with cross-functional engineering, security, infrastructure, and product teams to create user experience; and

• 5 years of experience with Apache Flink, Apache Hadoop, Apache Hive, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, API Gateway, Athena, Aurora, AWS Databricks, Azure, Cloud formation, Casandra, DynamoDB, EBS, EC2, ECR, Elastic cache, EMR, Github, Jenkins, Java, MySQL, Numpy, Postgres, Python, RedShift, Scala, and SQL.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $229,986 - $270,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
