About the Role:

The Remitly Trust Platform team empowers all business divisions within Remitly to establish trust in their customers and manage risks effectively, efficiently, and at scale. The team creates an integrated ecosystem of data and functionalities that enable compliance and support fraud detection and review processes across multiple product lines.

As a Fullstack Software Engineer II, you will build critical components for Trust Platform that enable customer data processing, decisioning, and reporting. One of the key initiatives at Remitly is to deliver a comprehensive reporting capability, offer in-depth visibility into our customers and their behaviors, and improve customer experience. You will directly contribute to this key initiative. This high-visibility role is perfect for someone passionate about making a significant impact and eager to take on responsibilities.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and complex problems using backend (for example, Java/Kotlin) and frontend technologies (TypeScript and React)
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.
  • You will report to an engineering manager on the Trust Platform at the Canada office.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
  • Be familiar with at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Python, C# or Ruby, and familiarity with related frameworks and libraries.
  • Be familiar with at least one frontend programming language, such as TypeScript, React

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is $112,000-$140,000. In Canada, Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
