About the Role:

You will lead partnership efforts (from strategy & brainstorming, to launch) and own the program management for Remitly's new lending product development efforts.

You will directly report to the GM of Lending and be a critical part of the leadership team. This is a zero to one opportunity, creating Remitly's lending business from scratch! You will be instrumental in shaping our new lending programs. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the fintech space, excellent strategic & analytical skills, combined with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives. You will be the face of Remitly for our external partners, and represent Lending & the GM of Lending with internal teams.

This role is based in Arlington, VA (Washington DC metro area).

You Will:

  • Lead the prioritization, financial evaluation & negotiation, and implementation of possible partnerships with sponsor banks, systems & data providers, card issuers, payment networks, and other FinTech companies to deliver our vision and product roadmap
  • Prioritize and manage complex projects across multiple internal teams and external partner organizations, from initial brainstorming to launch
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive program management approach covering all internal and external dependencies that ensure successful and timely delivery our new product initiatives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and communicating on where we are on our roadmap
  • Work with the corporate development team as needed to identify and assess potential M&A targets that can augment or accelerate our strategy.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years in roles managing complex programs and/or large partner relationships in the Fintech sector
  • 3+ years at analytics focus and driving strategic decisions
  • Experience creating cross-functional and large scale organizational processes, and driving continuous improvement
  • Ability to be strategic and recommend balanced business decision backed by data
  • Experience presenting to large and small groups, interacting with senior executives internally & at partner organizations, including C-level executives
  • Analytical capabilities in terms of building P&Ls/pro-forma financial models, and running analyses on key metrics for potential partnerships
  • Degree in a quantitative field (engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, science, engineering, etc.).

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $160,000-$200,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
