Remitly's Accounting Product team supports Remitly's mission by managing the processes that account for every customer transaction, globally. As a Product Manager on the Accounting Product team, you will design, drive, and deliver the accounting technology that drives the future of Remitly's Financial Reporting and Accounting operations, enabling Remitly to grow and scale. Our products enable Finance to manage risks, create accurate and timely financial reports, and scale Remitly's business across remittance and new products.

As the Senior Product Manager for Accounting, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our Accounting technology and processes. You will enable accurate, complete, and timely monthly accounting operations with "first time quality" data and automation. To achieve this, you will build an understanding of the accounting pain points, build a strategy and roadmap, and partner with Engineering through execution and launch. You will report to the product lead for Accounting and Reconciliation.

You Will:

• Identify and drive strategic initiatives to automate Accounting from "order to cash" and ensure our accounting platform scales for new business lines
• Develop a deep understanding of the operational needs of Accounting, and the impact of new product areas
• Establish a multi-year roadmap for the team, informed by an understanding of customer needs and collaboration with Remitly product teams
• Own Accounting's product backlog, create product requirements, and drive cross-functional initiatives
• Partner with Engineering to ensure we make the right trade-offs between incremental delivery and long-term sustainability
• Define critical business metrics that measure the impact of the team's products and the data quality they ensure

You Have:

• 5+ years of product management experience
• Data analytics skills and experience working with data-heavy products
• Experience in accounting, accounting operations, or building products for the accounting function is a plus
• A curiosity for understanding how technical systems work, with an ability to understand if design choices will meet product requirements
