Finance Audit Senior

About the Role:

Remitly is looking for a motivated and team-oriented Finance Audit Senior, reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, to join a dynamic Global Internal Audit (GIA) team. Our team conducts global internal audit reviews and assesses the internal control environment for Remitly. You will be Remote, based in Nicaragua, with the option to work onsite in our Managua office.

You Will:

•Document business processes, evaluate effectiveness of key control design, perform key control walkthroughs, execute key control testing, and assess impact of key control deficiencies across business processes for SOX Compliance

•Communicate with finance management and external auditor teams to build and maintain alignment of audit expectations and solutions

•Provide advisory support to operational, financial and business unit management to improve internal controls, safeguard assets, and ensure compliance with management goals

•Support periodic training on internal controls and SOX requirements

•Help with Internal Audit Policies and Procedures creation and updates

•Support financial, operational and compliance audits

You Have:

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

•+3 years public accounting experience (e.g., Big Four CPA firms)

•Proficient knowledge of internal control frameworks and standards, such as, COSO and SOX.

•Competency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (including VLOOKUPS, COUNTIFS, and Pivot Tables).

•Clear verbal and written communication skills.

•High level of English proficiency is required

•Ability to build solid relationships with global cross-functional teams, and external consultants
