We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Deal Desk Analyst to optimize and support our sales deal cycles, ensuring efficient, compliant, and value-maximizing transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and a collaborative spirit. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Deal Desk, this role will work cross-functionally with the Sales Organization, Sales Operations, Finance, and Legal.
What will you be doing?
Deal Structuring & Support: Provide expert guidance and support to the sales team in structuring complex deals, including those involving non-standard pricing, custom terms, ramped agreements, and unique customer requirements.
Quote & OF Management: Assist in the accurate creation, review, and modification of quotes and Order Forms (OFs) within Salesforce (SFDC CPQ), ensuring all details align with negotiated terms and company policies.
Process & Policy Adherence: Ensure all deals adhere to established company policies, pricing guidelines, revenue recognition principles (e.g., ASC 606), and legal terms.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as a central liaison between Sales, Legal, and Finance, to facilitate seamless deal flow and resolve complex deal-related inquiries efficiently.
Approval Workflow Management: Support the navigation and adherence to internal approval processes, ensuring timely review and documentation of all necessary approvals for deals.
Documentation & Training: Contribute to building and maintaining comprehensive Deal Desk documentation, playbooks, and training materials to empower the sales team and ensure process consistency.
Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain high data integrity within SFDC related to deals and contribute to reporting on key deal desk metrics to identify trends, process gaps, and areas for improvement.
Issue Resolution: Act as a point of contact for deal-related questions and provide thorough, timely answers, troubleshooting quote errors and system discrepancies.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to streamline deal desk processes, enhance system efficiency, and improve the overall effectiveness of deal support.
What skills and experience do you need?
2+ years of experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Finance, or similar role within a high-tech company (SaaS/Cloud model preferred).
BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or other quantitative fields preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience with Salesforce CPQ or similar quote-to-cash (QTC) tools is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
A collaborative team player with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and a relentless drive for excellence in process execution and deal integrity.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.
