As an Accountant at Freeform, you’ll be much more than a bookkeeper. This is your chance to directly contribute to a fast-growing company that’s scaling from startup to global disruptor. You’ll dive into essential accounting and purchasing functions, managing everything from tracking and forecasting spend to supporting strategic purchasing decisions with the engineering and leadership teams.
With Freeform’s rapid growth, you’ll be hands-on in improving how our finance and operations run—helping to streamline, optimize, and reimagine how we handle accounting as we expand. This role is built for an early-career professional who’s excited to grow quickly, take on big responsibilities, and help build a future where advanced manufacturing is accessible to every industry.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with leadership to forecast and track spend across key areas, including operations, engineering, R&D, and personnel, impacting decisions that drive Freeform’s scaling efforts
- Own vendor payments, payroll, leases, and other financial transactions that keep our operations moving
- Assist with month-end closings, and manage accounts payable and receivable activities, supporting clear, transparent financial reporting
- Partner with the engineering team on purchasing activities, including managing vendor relationships, price negotiations, and purchase orders to support our innovative technology
- Contribute to financial reporting for board meetings, investor relations, and funding initiatives
- Strategize on improving operational efficiency, identifying ways to streamline processes, reduce spend, and improve the scalability of our finance operations
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Internship or professional experience in accounting
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks
Nice to Have:
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) highly preferred
- Master’s degree in accounting from a top university or college
- Eagerness to innovate and take ownership of projects in a fast-evolving environment
- Experience with finance and accounting as it relates to manufacturing, capital equipment, and/or hardware
- Experience working in an engineering and/or tech startup environment
- ERP systems experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- “No job too big or small” mindset

- We are located in Hawthorne in a 35,000 square foot, state of the art facility featuring large open spaces for team collaboration, R&D, and production, as well as easy access to the 405, 105, and 110 freeways. Our facility is in the heart of LA’s vibrant emerging tech eco-system alongside many other high growth start-ups and enterprises.

- Compensation
- As an early-stage startup, the salary range is intentionally wide as we determine the most appropriate package for each individual taking into consideration years of experience, educational background, and unique skills and abilities as demonstrated throughout the interview process. Our intent is to offer a salary that is commensurate for the company’s current stage of development and allows the employee to grow and develop within a role.
- In addition to the significant stock option package, the estimated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000
