If that sounds exciting—and the job description below feels like a fit—we really should start talking.

The Implementation Project Manager will be a critical member of the Customer Success team, serving as the lead on implementation projects for BetterUp’s new and existing customer launches. This person will directly contribute to BetterUp’s mission by ensuring all implementation projects launch with velocity and quickly reach a critical mass of user activations and engagement. Success in this role involves not only launching successful projects but delighting customers with a seamless experience where BetterUp products are delivered in a way that leads to desired business outcomes. We need a critical thinker that can identify ways to improve our implementation operations and customer experience. Beyond the classic project manager skill-set of collaboration and organization, the ability to empower our customers to become true program and platform owners will be a key skill to succeed in this role.

As an Implementation Project Manager, you will need to be able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment, and have a track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to motivate and influence teams outside of your direct purview. Communication skills (written and verbal) to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are consistently updated and held accountable for deliverables, and clearly communicate potential project issues and risks, will be key to success in this role. This role will report to the Manager of Implementation Management.

What you’ll do:

  • Multi-Product Launch Planning & Coordination: Lead the planning, execution, and coordination of complex, multi-product launches for BetterUp’s largest and most strategic customers. Collaborate closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment with both internal goals and client objectives. Develop comprehensive project plans that guide the launch process and guarantee the seamless integration of multiple products.

  • Strategic Client Partnerships: Work with key stakeholders at strategic customer accounts to align multi-product solutions with their broader business goals. Engage with senior leadership and decision-makers to set the vision for long-term success and manage their journey through large-scale implementations, acting as their trusted project partner.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the central point of coordination across sales, product, and customer success teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of cross-functional initiatives. Drive collaboration and accountability among teams to meet project milestones and deliver a unified client experience across all BetterUp products.

  • Resource & Timeline Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, setting and managing timelines, ensuring that all cross-functional teams stay on track for successful product launches. Anticipate roadblocks and proactively mitigate risks to ensure timely and efficient delivery of all client-facing solutions.

  • Stakeholder Communication & Alignment: Serve as the internal and external hub for communication during multi-product launches. Regularly interface with key client stakeholders and internal team members at all levels, providing transparent updates on progress, risks, and results. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process to guarantee smooth execution and successful outcomes.

  • Risk Management & Escalation: Develop proactive risk management strategies to identify and resolve potential issues early in the launch process. Act as the escalation point for resolving critical roadblocks, ensuring timely resolutions that minimize impact on delivery timelines and client satisfaction.

  • Optimization & Continuous Improvement: After each multi-product launch, conduct post-mortem reviews to identify areas for improvement in both process and product execution. Collaborate with product and go-to-market teams to iterate on strategies and implement best practices that drive better results in future launches.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • 8+ years of project management experience, specifically managing large-scale, cross-functional projects involving product launches, customer success, and sales teams.

  • 5+ years of experience leading and coordinating enterprise-level SaaS product deployments, with a strong emphasis on managing multiple products and stakeholders simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and strategic client stakeholders, translating complex technical details into business-friendly language.

  • Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, sales, customer success) to drive alignment and execution of multi-product projects.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of managing timelines, deliverables, and resources across complex initiatives.

  • Proactive problem solver who can anticipate risks early in the project lifecycle and implement effective mitigation strategies.

  • Experience leading large-scale multiproduct implementations for Fortune 500 companies, working directly with executive-level clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.

  • Experience implementing SaaS products globally with 1000+ users.

  • Travel 20-30% for client-facing work, especially during critical phases of product launches.
