What does a great Application developer resource do in Fiserv?

Payments Tech is looking for talented SDE to join our Debit Processing Development team to contribute to building high-end applications. Their day-to-day responsibilities will include developing new modules, functionalities, rewriting existing code to new frameworks and applications for managing Card Services batch application systems, implementation of core processing configurations, implementation of all code required to support the backend applications, addressing client/vendor/internal escalated requests for assistance; engaging with implementation, systems, and/or development, product teams, improving execution by scripting of repetitive tasks, and automate error notification. Must have an overall understanding of DevOps, CICD and fundamental multi-tier application support. Rotating on-call, project participation, and business continuity support for the card services processing, Windows, and some Linux applications. Must have excellent communication skills, as the role periodically interfaces with clients, vendors, and business partners.

Additionally, you will focus using analytical and troubleshooting skills to provide project participation, support continuity. Teamwork and creativity are essential to this role.

What you will do

• Provide technological inputs in a tightly integrated fintech eco-systems for Debit Processing applications, which incorporates Development, Validation of various type of enhancement, migration, etc.
• Active participation in agile (Scrum) deployment team activities
• Partnering with business and technical SMEs to understand relevant data, analyze and perform necessary deep dive to solve given business problems, summarize and present key findings.
• Learning and mastering the debit card processing business domain and our systems
• Lead/Participate in all Production Support activities during incidents and outages as applicable.
• Continuously provide improvement on our applications to be easy to deploy, scalable, secure and fault tolerant solutions.
• Participate in capacity planning, tuning systems stability, provisioning, performance, and scaling of the application infrastructure.

What you will need to have:

• Associate with 3-5 years of experience with Cards and Payments domain knowledge.
• Strong knowledge and experience with PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, Python, C, C++, Oracle DB and Cloud technology.
• Must have experience of working in Agile methodology.
• Ensure that the delivered product/service conforms to client’s requirements.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting and issue resolution skills.
• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in adopting technologies, tools, and best practices.

What would be great to have

• Experience with Azure, AWS and Hybrid based support model
• Hands-on experience with Selenium or TOSCA or any equivalent automation tool will be added advantage for test automation
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery – Jenkins deployments and pipelines
• Collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki
