What does a successful Software Development Engineer do?

A successful Software Development Engineer in our Issuer Solutions department contributes to the development and enhancement of innovative financial services solutions. By leveraging advanced Java and Spring Boot skills, you will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights to create enriched experiences for our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that meet market demands and align with the way people live and work today.

What you will do:

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement new features and enhancements
• Optimize and maintain existing applications to ensure high performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure best practices
• Conduct technical walkthroughs with all stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
• Work in an agile environment to deliver user stories on time and at high quality while you influence and implement best practices, solutions, and processes

What you will need to have:

• 4+ years of experience with Java/J2EE technologies such as Spring 6.0, Java 1.8, Spring Boot, Spring Microservices, Spring JPA, Spring Web flux, and Hibernate
• 4+ years of experience developing distributed, highly scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant systems, focused on creating solutions using microservice architecture
• 4+ years of experience in software development and application design
• 4+ years of experience with relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience

What would be great to have:

• Prior experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
• Hands on experience in JSON, Swagger, REST APIs, XML, XML Schemas, and Web Service Technology
• Hands on experience in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Prior experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies
