As Lead, Accounting & Compliance, you will be responsible for:

• Record keeping and accounting using QBO
• Production of month-end accounts & Financial Statements
• Production of year-end accounts & Financial Statements
• Managing annual Review Engagements and Audits (with third-party audit firms)
• Tax compliance (monthly, quarterly and annual), including sales tax, income tax, payroll taxes, franchise tax (with the help of third-party tax specialists)
• Corporate compliance i.e. registrations and filings with statutory bodies, Provincial/State/Federal Government(s) (with the help of third-party service providers)
• Development and administration of policies and processes as required

Note: All the above apply to all 3 of our entities i.e. 1 each in Canada, USA and Pakistan

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 4+ years’ experience in Accounting
• Experience using QuickBooks Online
• Experience with tax & corporate compliance is not mandatory, but is preferred
• Intermediate-to-pro level expertise in spreadsheets (e.g. Excel, Google Sheets)
• ACC finalist, CA intermediate or equivalent education
• A passion for accounting, number crunching and reporting
• Attention to detail
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Eagerness to learn, and a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality
